The child in you
Yesterday I felt so sad. I heard the Enigma song ‘The child in us’. It’s one of my favourite Enigma songs and it’s about cherishing the child inside you.
Hearing the song reminded me at a video I saw earlier that day. Two very small children were shaking to their bones after horribly being bombed. And something in me snapped.
At our planet, many inner childs are wounded and this is what is reflected in our outside world.
This bleeding must come to an end.
In a world where we let children carry so many burdens, something is wrong at its very deep core.
We have to stop paying our hurt forward to them and stop pointing to others, for we all have part in this.
And yes, I have many doubts. I am so small, I cannot possibly save the world.
But we all are fractals in a bigger story than that.
If each and everyone of us would start taking care of our inner wounded children, I am sure that together we are capable of a more beautiful world you can ever imagine; a healed civilization and therefore happy and healthy children as they are meant to be.
So let this healing start here and now within us.
If not now, when?

‘You were the one
I was dreaming of all my life
When it is dark you are my light
But don’t forget
Who’s always our guide
It is the child in us’
